A full bodied, leathery Syrah from one of the Capes most exciting new wineries. This spicy, leathery, bold and dark red is all a South African Syrah should be. It is concentrated with juicy blackberry fruit and a toasty, smoky complexity making it a brilliant partner to a green pepper beef stew.Grape : Syrah/Shiraz

| One of my old favourites coming out for a more recent outing. I always like gong back to my original passions to see how both the wine and I have changed in the intervening years. Though still strong on flavour, colour and balance I found that the wine and I had a slight disagreement for the first time. Almost as if you've found your partner having a shifty cigarette beind your back after they had toldyou they had quit! the wine is still recommedned but I have a feeling this vintage may have hit its peak. |
