Another one from Vignerons de Cers Portiragnes in their Code range, this one is Syrah Passion (the other one I've tried is the Merlot Emotion which was very good).Grape : Syrah/Shiraz

This won a Medaille D'Or in 2009, as did the Merlot (I'm wondering if the winery won it as opposed to both of these wines).
It's a deep black-red colour with an earthiness, like wet mud on the nose.
A little dry and medium bodied with a medium finish.
It's not acidic or tannic and there's a slight sour aftertaste, very subtle though.
To be honest the taste was difficult to place, but it was very drinkable.
Not fruity or spicy or grapey, just drinkable.
Give it a go.
