I looked up what "Vieilles Vignobles" means and apparently it means "Old Vine" and is used on wine bottles to show if a wine comes from vines that are notably old.

The idea being that older vines produce better wines.

This Cotes du Rhone wine wone the Medaille D'Or Paris in 2009 but to be honest I wasn't overly impressed with it.

It had a light nose with hints of strawberries and red berries.

Very light in the mouth and a little sour - actually the aftertaste became very sour for me. It's not an overly unpleasant sourness, just the usual sour taste that you sometimes get with white wines (that, personally I'm not a big fan of).

Initially I wasn't a big fan, and scored it 75 however it grew on me as I carried on drinking so the score gradually increased.
