This wine is from Vieille Vigne (old vines) that are 70 years old according to the label.

It has a dark, blackish red colour but is fairly transluscent.

There's a strong alcoholic, fruity nose to it, with dark blackcurrants and berries.

On the palate it has quite a sour, dark taste. Rough around the edge of the tongue but soft tannins on the teeth.

A medium bodied wine, this is pretty dry and the sourness is quite acidic making the mouth salivate a lot.

Initially disappointing...and then more so.
It has a dry "offness" to it, and some vegetal flavours in the aftertaste.

I wouldn't buy this again.
