Le Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild is a second wine from Chateau Mouton Rothschild, originally started in 1993, callled "Le Second de Mouton Rothschild" before changing it's name a year later.

The grapes come from the youngest wines in their vineyards apparently.

I was lucky enough to find this at a tasting in a big department store in Osaka where I also tried a Chateau Margaux. The other wines in the tasting were free but for these special ones you had to pay upwards of ¥1000 ($10) for a small glass.

My notes were very sparse for this as it was at the end of a tasting tour around the room (and 30 or so wines) but I've got written down, "Complex deep red and very dry".

Scored it pretty high, so must have been good.
Shame I couldn't afford a bottle!
