This excellent wine from Chateau Bel Air Lagrave was an unusual one for me in that it's not from the past 10 years, in fact it's a 1983 vintage!Grape : Blend

I can't remember but it was probably on sale in my local wine shop :) Don't usually splash out for an old vintage like this.
It had a muddy brown colour and was slightly translucent in the glass with a nice, spicy, earthy nose.
Smooth, light and fresh in the mouth.
A little dry with some tannins.
This wine slips down the throat leaving a medium to long finish.
Had quite an earthy taste and was overall, excellent.
