This wine had a very unusual forest floor, woody smell, with a hint of leather on the nose and palate. It was medium bodied, dry, peppery and smooth. An award winning wine, 2008 Gourmet Festival, Swiss Airlines, 2008 Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show (Bronze) and John Platter SA Wine Guide 4*

Very unusual taste, obviously don't drink enough expensive wines, as not tasted anything like this before. Very un-wine like.
PikoCoco
Had a short finish, with a smell of fermentation. Didn't really like it.

I've just found my notes on this wine from a tasting I went to (probably where I bought it). Here's what I've written:

Great Shiraz, light bodied (although I said medium above, hmm, which is it? medium-light?), dry and fruity but not too overpowering.
Also not too spicy for a shiraz.
