It's a dark purple/red colour in the glass with a big, but mellow, fruity nose. There are dark berries and blackcurrants in there.
A fruity, bold, full wine which is quite dry with some fairly nice soft tannins.
Overall a bold, fruity, mellow merlot. It has an expensive feel to it (but I don't remember it being expensive to buy).
Definitely a 'Private Reserve' feel.
Quality but at a reasonable price.
It also has a nice 'real' rough paper label too, if you're into that sort of thing.
