This is one of the Private Reserve range of wines from Vina El Aromo, they also have a Merlot which I tried before and really liked.

This one has won several medals apparently.

It's a deep black, purple in the glass with a bold fruity nose.
There are dark fruits, blackcurrant and some jamminess on the nose. Some earthy notes too.

On the palate it's a fruit forward wine, with mellow jammy blackcurrants and some plums coming through.

It's bone dry and strongly tannic, with quite a long, fruity smooth finish.

Overall this is fruity, fruity and dry, dry, dry.

Pretty darn good and only ¥1000 ($10)!! A bargain!

Their website is here, and I reviewed their Private Reserve Merlot here.
