A gorgeous dark ruby colour, that was fairly translucent. This wine had a marvellous strong spicy aroma that I really liked. On the palate there were dark berries, some cherry and dark bitter chocolate on the finish which was long and spicy. A medium bodied wine with just the right amount of acidity. Nicely balanced I thought.Grape : Pinot Noir

| Quite unusual taste from our usual selection of wines. Spicy and bitter. Kept me going back for more. However, initially I scored this 8.5, but dropped to 8 by the end of the bottle. Great for one or two glasses, but then got a bit tough. |
