I found this in the supermarket the other day in a small plastic bottle called a "Dokodemo Wine" - "Anywhere wine".
It's a great idea and design and hadn't seen anything like it before. The bottle has an upturned plastic glass as the screw lid, so basically you have a glass and bottle of wine in one...hence "Anywhere wine".

Perfect for picnics, watching the Hanshin Tigers or cherry blossom viewing.

But is the wine anygood?

Well it's a pretty bold, strong (14%) Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon with a big, bold nose.

The taste was quite spicy and earthy, with not too much of the fruitiness of the Cab. More shiraz than cab in the blend perhaps?

It also had like a bitterness to it on the aftertaste, and was also very, very dry - dry to the bone.

Basically aq nice, everyday (Anywhere) wine, nothing special but lets face it, it comes in a plastic bottle with a plastic glass as a closure so what do you expect?

Much better than the Barokes (canned wine) for a takeout wine.

Will buy again, and will also try their Chardonnay Semillion which is also in the Dokodemo range.
