This Kobe wine is especially made for Rokko Mountain Garden Terrace (the Garden Terrace being a selection of shops and restaurants near the top of Rokko Mountain overlooking Kobe). They sell it in the restaurants (where I had this) and the shops there.

It's a Kobe Wine Select and made with 100% Kobe grown grapes.

It's quite a thin looking wine in the glass but it does have a beautiful ruby red colour.

It's a light bodied merlot/cabernet sauvignon blend that was served very chilled and tasted quite sharp.
It had a short finish and was quite fruity and slightly bitter.

I let it warm up a bit, as I don't generally like my red wines (and glasses) to have just come out of the fridge, hoping it would improve.

Unfortunately it didn't.
Overall just a bit of a touristy thing I think, and I dare say you won't be able to buy it outside of the Rokko Mountain Garden Terrace anyway.
