I'm always looking out for fish-shaped bottles of wine (or any unusual shape really), and hadn't seen any for ages until this one popped up in my local supermarket.Grape : Blend

From Pescevino Winery in Osimo, Italy, this red table wine was surprisingly drinkable, bearing in mind it was fairly cheap and came in a novelty shaped bottle.
It's dark, black red in the glass with a dark, bold, fruity nose. There were some earthy notes too.
On the palate, fairly fruity but not as heavy as I was expecting it to be, with a fairly light finish.
Some strawberries and blackcurrants.
Very dry, almost bone dry with some tannins.
Like I said this was better than I thought it would be, and worth checking out, for the bottle if nothing else.
