Chateau Margaux is one of those famous wineries, putting it mildly that if you get a chance to try you've just got to really, haven't you.
Just to say you've drunk some Chateau Margaux wine.

They've been making wine since the 12th century so probably got the hang of it by now, so should be good, eh?

I was at a tasting at a big department store in Osaka and they had a separate special section (away from the picnic tables piled high with "ordinary" wine) where you could pay an arm and a leg for a thimble of a Rotchschild or a Chateau Margaux.

I gave the man my limbs and he dripped some wine into a thimble for me.

How was it? hmm, well to be fair I should probably have spotted this before I'd been round the other tables and tried 30 or so mediocre wines...

It was full bodied and very dry with dark berries.

That was pretty much all my notes for it, other than the last line:
"A little overrated for me."

Oops.
