I was immediately drawn to the label and unusual name for this wine, and was suprised to find it was an Austrian wine. Was kind of expecting more of an south-east asian country, maybe that's just the way I was pronouncing "Meinklang".Grape : Pinot Noir

The Meinklang winery is a Biodynamic Estate apparently (Biodynamic farming is an organic farming method that treats the farm or in this case the wine estate as a "whole", a holistic approach, looking at the soil, plants, etc and how they all interact together).
The wine has a slightly dark, ruby red colour to it with a nice earthy, spicy, herby, flowery pinot noir smell.
On the palate it's slightly sharp and acidic with a light-medium body.
Not fully balanced I think, which leads to a kind of cheap pinot noir taste (can't remember but I think it was about ¥2000 ($20)).
Has a medium to long finish with flowery notes.
Slightly disappointing.
