This Chilean wine is from the Lauca Winery in Chile. It's a family owned 650 hectare estate that's been in the Guerra family for 4 generations apparently.

Currently owned by the winemaker Renato Guerra, this wine was made by him and his son (also called Renato).

The name Lauca, amusingly comes from the name of the family pet llama who is seen on the bottle and is the Winerys mascot and logo.

This wine is matured for a minimum of 3 months in American and Fench oak.

(All of that I got off the back of the label).

I found this wine to be fruity with lots of berrys on the nose.

The taste too was smooth and fruity but I found it a bit too dry and tannic. It really dried out my lips and made me want to drink water in between glasses.

Had quite a long finish with a nice, bold fruity taste.

Initially I gave it a score of 85, but as the bottle progressed the dryness was a bit too much so I dropped the score to 80.

If you like your wines dry, then this could be a good bet.
