Plum red colour, ripe berry aromas with leafy naunces is compimented by subtle oak. The palate shows nutty hints and flavours of oak complexity. A medium bodied wine with a long finnish, supported by fine grained oak tannins.Grape : Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon

| This wine was given to me to make up for the Boekenhoutskloof Syrah (see my other review). However I'd tried an earlier vintage of the Estate Wine at a tasting and I knew it was a bottle of smoothness and warmth. This vinatge was no different. Not a bottle full of distinctive flavours or power but a bottle full of soft embrace and a gentle glide across your palette. Recommended for those who like to be caressed with their wine. |
