The off license opposite my work in Osaka, which specialises in amongst other things, English teas, jams and biscuits, also stocks a lot of Robert Giraud wines. In fact they have some sort of certificate on the wall signed by Robert Giraud as if they are an official seller or something.Grape : Syrah/Shiraz

Anyway, I don't know if the Robert Giraud Winery makes any high end wines but the selection they have tends to be pretty cheap (the cheapest in the shop usually).
This one was ￥600 ($6) and actually tasted better than I was expecting.
A little fruity, light bodied, not sharp or acidic.
Very drinkable.
