I hadn't planned on rushing out and buying a bottle of this years Beaujolais Nouveau but this was a gift from my boss (we all got a couple of bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau this year - I wasn't singled out especially...), so turns out I didn't have to.Grape : Gamay

It's a gorgeous violet, purple colour with a fresh lively, fruity smell.
There was a hint of Muscat Bailey A (a grape often found in Japanese wine, which I'm not a big fan of), but it wasn't too bold so it didn't spoil my enjoyment of the wine.
It's very young (obviously!) and fresh and fruity.
A very drinkable, enjoyable table wine.

| Had a taste of the George Duboeuf. Really did not like! Lots of Banana and some finger nail polish. |
