It has a sharp, acidic taste and kind of buttery in the way it dissolves in the mouth.
It's a bit off the way it disappears down the throat without any sensation but burns the tongue with a sharp acidity.
I believe the I.W. stands for Isaac Wolfe (Bernheim) who started the brand and the Bernheim Distillery in Kentucky.
It's now owned by United Distillers and Vintners though.
Overall a great bourbon, one of my favourites.
