This Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is from Early Times Distillery in Louisville Kentucky. According to Wikipedia (fountain of all truth), the export market whiskey is a true bourbon (I got this in Japan) whereas the Early Times sold in the US is a Kentucky Whiskey (20% alc/vol).Location : usa > kentucky

Early Times Distillery has been around since 1860 and apparently is one of the best selling whiskeys in the US (this is from their website). One interesting fact (for me, living in Japan) is that in 2005 it became the best-selling Kentucky Whiskey in Japan.
It's pretty cheap here in Japan (as most imported alcohol, except wine and beer, are), due to the low tax on alcohol (compared with England where I'm from) and I got this for about ￥1200 ($12).
It's quite a light whiskey I think with a smooth,subtle smell.
There's a slight sour taste in the mouth but the whiskey disappears smoothly down the throat, leaving a long, lingering aftertaste.
Overall, I'd say this is an "ok" bourbon, pretty drinkable (especially at the price), but nothing too special.
