Shibotta Sono Mama Ichiban Sake しぼったそのまま一番酒

Brewery : Kitajima Shuzo
Area : Japan > Shiga > Biwako
Sake Type : Genshu
Alcohol : 18%

Genshu sake is undiluted sake, straight from the brewing process, sometimes called "cask strength" sake.
Sake is usually diluted with water to lower the alcohol down to 14-15%, but genshu, as it's undiluted tends to come in nearer 20%.
This particular one is 18%.

It has a light sake nose, to lure you in before the strong taste and alcoholic kick hits you and stops you in your tracks.

The main flavour here is light alcohol, kinda like a light version of a neat vodka.

The taste and feel is all in the mouth though, (it's also a little spongey in their too), nothing on the throat and quite a short finish.

This is a pretty nice, strong sake, and comes in an unusual plastic bag, so you know you're gonna get something with a bite to it.
