This one is a honjozo-shu so the rice is polished 70% (not the 50% of the daiginjo - the more polished the better quality of sake), but still this is a great sake.
Smooth and pleasant down the throat, with a slightly rough texture in the mouth.
Has a slightly sweet taste and I got almost a chocolatey hint to it.
This sake has quite a strong kick to it (it's 18%-19% alcohol), but it disappears smoothly down the throat with a long finish.
Definitely recommended (and cheaper than the Daiginjo).

| I had this at another time, in the brewery itself, and that time it had an odd processed cheese/salami taste to it. Which I loved. |
