This was one of the "cup sakes" I got from my box of 47 cup sakes, one from each Prefecture in Japan.
This one is from Fukushima Prefecture, and the Otokoyama Brewery.

It's made with rice, kouji and added alcohol.

The Kaitoiu Otokoyama Sake has a clean, fresh subtle nose and is soft on the palate with a full mouth feel.

It has a clean, sake taste and is that a little sweetness I can sense? For a cup sake (which generally borderline drinkable in my experience - although this is the first of my 47, so by the end maybe my feelings will have changed...), this is pretty drinkable, with just subtle alcohol on the aftertaste.

Much better than I thought it would be.

Nothing outstanding tastewise but a nice, drinkable sake.
