A "Lucky Bag" is basically a bag that contains a "surprise" that you buy for anything from ¥1000 to ¥100,000 but the point is, the contents are worth more than the cost, so it's a good deal - assuming what's inside the bag is what you want.
With this bag I knew what was inside as they were telling people and as you can see from the photo it's a bottle of local sake and a sake cup to go with it. I think it was about ¥1500 ($15).
This sake is a Junmaishu and is made with rice and rice kouji only (no added alcohol) and the rice was polished to 70% apparently.
It's also made with Miyomizu (water from Nishinomiya) which is highly respected as an excellent water to make nihonshu with (that's why Hyogo, where this water is found, has so many, good sake breweries).
The sake itself has a very light sake smell at room temperature.
It was very light in the mouth and extremely easy to drink. To be honest it had hardly any of the usual alcoholic sake taste at all.
Like drinking a watered down sake or a flavoured water.
This is an excellent session sake and potentially dangerous as it was so easy to drink, didn't feel like a 15% alcoholic drink at all!
