The Karaguchi (辛口) in "Junmai karaguchi", mans dry, you often see it on beers in Japan (for example, Asahi Super Dry) and this has a Nihonshudo of +6 so should be fairly dry.

The rice is polished down to 58% so this is a fairly good quality sake.

It has a very, very pale yellow colour, like a very, very weak lemon squash, and I mean, really weak.

On the nose there's the usual alcoholic sake nose.

It's quite fruity, weak lemony almost, with nothing on the throat. All the flavour is on the tongue (obviously as that's where the taste buds are, but what I mean is, it disappears down the throat like water).

It's a fairly dry sake but the fruitiness balances that out nicely.

There's no acidity and it doesn't really feel like an alcoholic drink, or like a sake.

A very pleasant sophisticated nihonshu.

Great!
