First there were the red, green, purple and blue coffee style cans and then there came two Premium versions (red and blue cans). Both of these Premium cans are from the Gekkeikan Brewery in Kyoto.
This one (the red can) is a junmai daiginjo, and is made from rice and kouji only, with the rice being polished down to 45% (the more polished the rice, the purer the sake).
This is quite a strong tasting sake, quite sharp and almost cloying in the mouth.
There's a tartness to it and a long aftertaste which smooths out this tartness but unfortunately, I didn't really like this sake too much.
It had too strong a sake/alcohol feel to it.
