Suntory Horoyoi Apple Chuhi
Chuhi's in Japan are huge. They're basically alcopops as we call them in England, various cocktail style drinks in cans or bottles, usually with shochu as the alcohol base and some kind of fruit or something mixed in.
They are invariably sweet, and weak, but you can also find very dry ones too.
This one, Horoyoi Chihi Ringo (apple) is basically a weak apple tasting cocktail.
It's a weak golden yellow colour in the glass with a strong apple nose. It actually smells like apple juice as opposed to a fake chemical apple smell which I was quite surprised by.
It's only lightly fizzy and has a fairly weak apple flavour (the nose is much stronger than the taste).
It's sweet but not too cloying like some chu-hi's I've had in the past.
This is basically an alcoholic sweet apple drink (like apple and lemonade).
