href="http://www.jrc.or.jp/english/relief/l4/Vcms4_00002070.html" target="_blank">Red Cross Japan</a> and the <strong>International Disaster Relief Organization Japan.</strong></p><p><strong></strong>I won a t-shirt! &#8211; Unfortunately it was too small, so I passed it on to a charity flea market at our local supermarket.</p><div
style="clear:both"></div><p>Unlike some beer festivals this was free entry and you just bought tickets for the number of beers you wanted to try. This was a result, as my wife doesn&#8217;t drink beer so (rightly) refuses to go to festivals and pay ¥3000 to watch other people get drunk!<br

An ideal accompaniment for beer, so I thought I&#8217;d give them a go.</p><p>The sweetcorn flavour actually tasted of sweetcorn which I was pretty surprised about and were pretty moreish.</p><p>The edamame on the othe hand were pretty disappointing. I&#8217;m a big fan of edamame with my beer or sake, but I just couldn&#8217;t get the edamame flavour here.</p><p>Still, the sweetcorn version made a good impression so might pick up another pack for our next picnic.</p><div

/> <br/>Last year I reviewed the <a
href="http://www.moippai.com/beer-reviews/Kirin-Aki-Aji-%28%E7%A7%8B%E5%91%B3%29-60.html">Aki Aji 秋味 (Taste of Autumn)</a> from <strong>Kirin</strong> which got a 2011 release also, but <strong>Suntory</strong> also released the <strong>Aki Raku 秋楽</strong> (Translation: Autumn Comfort/Fun) this year.<br/><br
/> (Update: It seems this was released last year too, but I guess I missed it. I found a review of it on <a

/> <br/>Reviewing it myself the other day, I found it to be an okay <a
href="http://www.moippai.com/blog/2011/01/top-5-japanese-daisans-third-category-beer/">daisan</a>, a bit flabby and flat, with not much flavourwise, except a slight taste of malt and a very subtle hint of dark chocolate.<br/><br/>However, having said that, for a daisan it&#8217;s not actually that bad!<br/><br

href="http://tokyo.belgianbeerweekend.jp/en/2011/2" target="_blank">Belgian Beer Weekend </a>(or <strong>Belgium for Japan</strong>). Part of the proceeds went to help rebuild areas of Japan devastated in the <a
href="http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/newsroom/japan-earthquake-tsunami-help-20110311-084815-717.html" target="_blank">earthquake and tsunami in March</a>.</p><div

href="http://www.moippai.com/beer-reviews/Stella-Artois-2.html">Stella</a>, Hoegaarden and <a
href="http://www.moippai.com/beer-reviews/Duvel-27.html">Duvel</a> through to the lesser well known (at least in Japan), like <a
href="http://www.moippai.com/beer-reviews/Trappistes-Rochefort-94.html">Rochefort</a>, <a
href="http://www.moippai.com/beer-reviews/Orval-123.html">Orval</a> and Saison Regal.<br
/> In total there were <strong>48 different Belgian beers</strong> on offer.</p><p>You paid your ¥3100 and for this you got a special commemorative glass (part of the profits from which went to the charities), and 10 tokens to start you off on your beer tour of Belgium.<br
