class="wp-caption-text">Sake From a Bamboo Jug</p></div></p><p>How cool is that, and the sake was pretty nice too (a local brand, can&#8217;t remember the name due to the many beers I&#8217;d had before it).</p><p>My fellow workers saw how excited I was with the bamboo cups (simple things please simple minds and all that) that they concocted some story about it being my &#8220;Sayonnara&#8221; party and I was heading out of Japan the next day&#8230;so could I take the cups home as a souvenir&#8230;</p><p>At first the answer was no <img
src='http://www.moippai.com/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /></p><p>&#8230;but then about five minutes later the manager found a jug they don&#8217;t use anymore and gave me that and a cup to go home with! <img
src='http://www.moippai.com/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /></p><p>Unfortunately I walk past the restaurant on the way to work every morning so now have to keep my head down and hope no-one recognises me (Gaijin tend to stand out in Japan, so it&#8217;s difficult to blend in!)</p><div
