Japanese Wine Gift Wrapping

Wine Gift Wrapping
Lets face it there’s one thing the Japanese do very well (well lots of things really but…), and that’s presentation.

From the food which often looks like a work of art, to clothes (just look at the amazing intricacies of a kimono), to gift-wrapping.

A friend told me about a company that sells the beautiful bottle wrappings that you can see in the picture on the right.

The wrap around the middle is tied up at the back and is very similar to an Obi which is the belt around a kimono. These wrappings are essentially a kimono for wine.

It would appear you just slide the bottle in from the bottom so you don’t have to flaf about with actually wrapping the bottle, which looks pretty complicated.

They come in this red design and also a dark blue version.

In case anyone is interested in buying one (or two) of these you can contact me and we can arrange something.
