Kirin Overtakes Asahi in 2009
Kirin Classic Lager Beer
Kirin Brewery has beaten Asah Brewery in beer
shipments for the first time in 9 years!
A staggering 178million cases (of beer and beer-like drinks)
were shipped last year. Asahi shipped 800,000 less.
Good news for Asahi in terms of sales though,
they beat Kirin by 200,000 cases.
So it would appear people still prefer Asahi, but off-licenses
and wholesalers like Kirin (maybe they have better deals?).
