Free Beer With My Morning Paper
TweetOne of the great things about Asahi having so many fingers in so many pies here in Japan (they seem to make and sell just about everything), you get a little present from them when you subscribe to their newspaper, Asahi Shinbun for a year.
So I was very pleased last Sunday when this was delivered to my door…
Free Asahi Beer
Actually, my wife gets the Asahi Shinbun (Japanese version), I get the Daily Yomiuri which is in English, but unfortunately they don’t give me anything.
There was a note with the package, saying they would give you more if you asked (or implied you were going to change papers) – they also give out washing powder and cinema tickets, etc – but we’re too polite for that. 
Still, thank you very much Mr Asahi!
