Fish Shaped Sake Bottle

I’m always on the look out for fish shaped wine bottles (don’t know why but it seems to be a popular search on google for this site…) so I was very pleased to discover this gorgeous Sake bottle shaped like a fish at one of our local sake breweries.

The brewery is called Takinokoi Kuramoto Club Sakasho-kan and as you may know “Koi” in Japanese is a type of carp (usually called Koi Carp or Japanese Carp in English), so it makes perfect sense I guess to have a bottle of their sake shaped like a carp.

They make some excellent sake and even though I wanted this bottle unfortunately the ¥5000 ($50) price was a little bit out of my range (on that day, and most days to be honest).
