Beaujolais Nouveau 2009
TweetVery nice!
This was one of them and a pretty good Beaujolais Nouveau it was too. (Review is here)
Fresh, fruity and lively.
Not sure how much it costs as obviously it was a gift, but apparently, in Japan at least, they are cheaper (about 10%) than last year, with most going for between ¥2000-2500 ($20-$25).
One company has actually decided to sell Beaujolais Nouveau in recyclable plastic bottles, reducing the cost even more. I think these go for about ¥800 ($8).
Would like to try one of those just to see what wine from a PET (plastic) bottle tastes like.
I have one more bottle to try which I’m sure I’ll be opening in the next week or so.
