Kobe Wine Soap

Kobe Wine Soap

Kobe Wine Soap

I was reading a post at whywineblog.com about wine and skin care when I was reminded of an advert my wife found in her Japanese newspaper the other day.

One of the big local winery’s Kobe Wine has started making a soap from their wine. Looking at their site (and trying to read the Japanese but mainly looking at the pictures ;) ) it seems they make the soap oil with amongst other things, Royal Jelly, Aloe Vera and Chamomile, then pour a some of the Kobe Wine into it.

Now I’m not a big fan of the regular Kobe Wine that you get in the supermarkets or convenience stores here, it’s cheap and tastes it, so adding it to soap is perhaps a good idea…having said that last year we went to the Kobe Wine Castle (as the winery is called) and had some of their more expensive range and it’s pretty good.

Will try some more and review them and also dig out the blog I wrote about that visit on another site and post it up here.

Anyway, back to the soap. It seems pretty expensive at ¥1680 (about $17) a bar but if I’m feeling rich one day and I see it I might see what it’s like, although I think I’d rather spend the $17 on a bottle of wine :)

A while ago I blogged about liquid bath salts made from wine too.

  1. Hello! I’m just curious about the smell…a lotion, I can imagine buying, but soap? Not sure. But I am interested in hearing more about *good* wine from Kobe (rare, if I’m not mistaken).

  2. I will try and get hold of some Kobe wine and review it. The stuff you get in the convenience stores isn’t that good (no surprises there!), but did have some at Kobe Wine Castle which I remember enjoying.

  3. Hello there.
I have something to say, about AloeVera, something about which you wrote above, about health and skin care… For a long time, I and my friend use the products of the Forever Living Company. We always see the nice results and also we make money for our families and we are happy. My friend works with Aloe Vera in the company of FLP has more than 5 years (My friend works ONLY in the forever living company and has a wife and three children). I know aloevera products for skin care for a long time, but a year ago, began working as a distributor in the Forever Living Products Company.
Of course, this job is some difficult, but in no other case, You really can earn so much much money with so much fun and good smiling faces around..
So if you want to discuss something about your post, and about my experience with aloevera products for weight management, I’ll always be glad to talk.

Best regards from Washington state and have a nice day!
