The Trappists Rochefort Brewery at the Abbey St. Remy in Southern Belgium product this pretty good Abbey Ale.

The abbey was founded in 1230 and the monks started brewing beer around 1595 apparently.

This is a strong (9.2%) dark ale with a strong malty nose.

It's dark brown, with a frothy, creamy head and lots of bubbles.

Dark malty flavour.
It actually looks like it would be pretty heavy to drink but it's actually quite light in the mouth.

A light, malty beer, that has a lot of sediment at the bottom of the bottle.

I like this one.
