Sankt Gallen Big Beer Bottle

Brewery : SanktGallen Brewery
Location : Japan > Kanagawa
Beer Type : Beer
Alcohol : ??% Abv

I don't know too much about this beer other than it came in a ridiculously huge bottle, one of the big, 1.8 litre, sake bottles and it was supposed to be drunk within 30 days of receiving it.

My wife bought it for me from the brewery for my birthday.

It had a dark orangey copper colour on the pour with a big frothy off-white head.

It had a nice, hoppy nose with some malt.

On the palate, very bitter and quite dry. There's some nice hoppiness up front then the bitterness takes over. As it opened up, like a wine, there were hints of citrus (oranges) fruit too.

Quite a long bitter finish, in the middle of the tongue.

Luckily (seeing as it was a 1.8 litre bottle and I was drinking it on my own), it was very drinkable.

I wonder what it's proper name is though?
