San Miguel Pale Pilsen

San Miguel Pale Pilsen

Brewery : San Miguel Brewery
Location : Philippines
Beer Type : Lager
Alcohol : 5% Abv
Score: 92 by MoIppai (16/07/2011)

The San Miguel Brewery in the Philippines have been brewing beer since 1890 apparently, and from tasting this Pale Pilsen from them, they seem to be doing a pretty good job of it.

It's light golden on the pour with a big fizzy white head.

It has a fresh, light hoppy lager nose and is clean and refreshing on the palate.

It's dry and there's some roughness on the teeth, almost like a tannic wine in that respect.

It's currently in the mid 30s in Japan at the moment and pretty humid, and this is a perfect, easily drinkable, refreshing lager for drinking in this climate.
I can see why it comes from the Philippines, must be perfect for their tropical climate and humidity.
