This is called Premium Yebisu, and is the standard version, of the 2009 special edition Premium Yebisu I reviewed back in 2009. Location : Japan > Tokyo

This scored much higher than the 2009 version, much higher, so either my tastes have changed (a lot) or the recipe has changed somewhat.
There are quite a few Premium Yebisu's, the gold can All Malt Beer version, as well as a Red Can version. I have a feeling the red can version is the same as this, or at least very similar.
This is a caramel coloured, very fizzy beer with initially a very big but rapidly disappearing light, slightly off-white head.
It has a light malty nose and a nice full mouth feel, with a malty, slightly bitter aftertaste.
It's a fairly dry beer and reminded me of a light British style bitter.
Very nice indeed.
