Pre-Prohibition Style Brooklyn Lager

Pre-Prohibition Style Brooklyn Lager

Brewery : The Brooklyn Brewery
Location : USA > Brooklyn
Beer Type : Lager
Alcohol : 5.2% Abv
Score: 90 by MoIppai (02/04/2011)

This lager from The Brooklyn Brewery, in (obviously) New York (http://www.brooklynbrewery.com/), is light toffee, amber coloured in the glass with a big (overflowing out of the bottle) off-white head.

It has a lively, fresh, fruity, hoppy nose and on the palate it's malty upfront with the hops quickly coming in and taking over.

It finishes with a long, slightly malty, but very hoppy aftertaste, and is a medium bodied lager.

This is a good, florally hoppy beer, which, according to their website is made in the American Amber Lager style with American Two-Row Malts, and Hallertauer Mittelfruch, Vanguard and Cascade hops.
