Palm

Palm

Brewery : Palm Breweries
Location : Belgium > Steenhuffel
Beer Type : Beer
Alcohol : 5.4% Abv
Score: 93 by MoIppai (19/11/2011)

Palm Breweries have been around since 1747, but before that there are records of hop growing and inn in-house brewing (what we would call a Brewpub these days in the UK) , earlier than that from the 1600s apparently.

The Palm beer is an amber coloured top-fermented beer that has a big, slightly off-white head when poured.

It has a nice beery, malty nose, and is smooth, medium bodied, malty and quite dry on the palate, with some bitterness on the finish.

I first had this at the Belgium Beer Weekend in Osaka and had to buy some at the festival shop to bring home.

This is a very, very drinkable, refreshing Belgium beer, and one definitely worth seeking out.

They have an excellent website here.
