This is a craft beer from Nagahama Roman Brewery in Nagahama City, Shiga prefecture, which has been brewing ji-beer (craft beer in Japanese) since 1996.

Nan no Hana (菜の花) means, I believe, Green Flower, and that type of flower is prominent in the local area (to be honest, I'm only hypothesising here but it sounds right).

This is a light, toffee brown ale with a big frothy, off-white head.

It has a fruity, hoppy nose with hints of sourness and some orange, or satsumas or something.

On the palate, it's very hoppy with some sourness notes too. I guess you could say there is a floral note in there too.

It actually reminds me of a white beer style although it doesn't look like one.

Pretty nice.
