Mugi No Kagayaki ("Shine of the Wheat") 麦の輝き

Ok, technically this is actually a Taiwanese "beer", but is imported by the Kyoriin Foods and Liquor Corp, but I couldn't find out which Taiwanese brewery made it.

I was going to put a link to their website but they don't seem to have set up the "encoding" properly, so I keep getting "moji bake" (gibberish) instead of proper Japanese (here's the link if you want it anyway, http://www.kyorinfandl.com/ ).

Right, enough of that waffle, what's the "beer like drink" taste like?
Surprisingly good!

First off, it's brewed with "selected malt, hop and rice from pure Natural Enivronment" which is always nice (not sure about the "rice" part though).

It's a very pale golden colour in the glass with a fizzy, white head.

There's very little on the nose but it does have a "fresh" feel to it.

Tastewise, it's light and has a subtle wheaty feel.

Actually pretty good for a daisan, it doesn't have the usual metallic or carbonated water taste to it.

For a daisan (fake beer), it's worth a try and I'll score it high for that.

I'd have this again.
