Maredsous Abbey Ale Triple

Maredsous Abbey Ale Triple

Brewery : Maredsous Abbey
Location : Belgium > Namur
Beer Type : Ale
Alcohol : 10% Abv
Score: 89 by MoIppai (04/01/2012)

Another one from the monks at Maredsous Abbey in Belgium.

This is an orangey, copper colour in the glass with a hint of pink (which is a bit odd), and a big white fluffy head.

Fruity hoppy on the nose (bananas) with some hints of herbs or spices.

On the palate a full, rich flavoursome beer (I don't mean full-bodied, but full of flavour).

Some hops and a feeling of herbs or spices but can't place it, not coriander like a white beer though.
There's a hint of the fruit (banana) in there too, and it's quite bitter on the finish.

It's quite a fizzy beer, but small bubbles almost like champagne bubbles.

Overall, pretty nice!
