This is such a strange beer, I had to get on the web to find out more about it.
According the the Lindemans website ( http://www.lindemans.be ) it's a "sherry like flavoured beer".

It's made of Lambic beer (the origins of which date from 1559 and is made of 30% Wheat and 70% malt, and is spontaneously fermented - which means no yeast is artificially added, the wort is left exposed to the air instead).

This Gueuze is made of 2/3 young Lambic and 1/3 old. (Not sure what effect that has, but that's what the website tells me).

Anyway...is it any good?
Well, it tastes like no beer I've tasted before!

Sweet, fruity and a little sour -had a lemony, citrusy sourness to it, with hints of oranges and satsumas.
I didn't like it at first, but the long aftertaste slowly evolves into quite a refreshing, pleasant taste (that's where the satsuma flavours appeared).

I took a big gulp and threw it around my mouth to get the full flavour and it kind of exploded in weird and wonderful flavours. The strangest being a strong sense of rare cheese cake!

As I said, I didn't like it at first, but it's so complex and fascinating with many levels of flavours I had to score it high.

According to their website it goes well with seafood and other salty meals as well as cream sauces.

Definitely one to try!
