So this is one of Kirin's yearly lagers with the beer made from hops picked fresh from that year. "Ichiban Shibori" means this beer is made with the first fermentation of the wort (thanks to Beers of Japan for that explanation.Location : Japan > Tokyo

So this is made with hops picked in 2010. I reviewed the 2009 version here.
This is a very pale gold lager on the pour with a big white frothy head. It's light and fresh on the palate and the mouth feel is soft and pillowy.
Tastewise though there's not much to shout about.
It has a fresh hoppy flavour but light, not overly fruity hops which you might expect, being made from freshly picked hops, etc.
It's a bit dry, and overall...ok.
