Another Daisan (beer-like low malt drink from Sapporo) this one has the added "bonus" of being 50% "off" purine, and 70% "off" sugar (for those that don't speak Japanese-English that means half the purine and 30% of the sugar of a normal daisan).Location : Japan > Tokyo

It's a slightly dark straw colour on the pour with a fizzy, big white bubbly head with an odd off-metallic carbonated soda water nose.
On the palate it has the common (for a daisan or happoshu) carbonated water taste on the finish.
It also has a bit of a metallic taste, like the inside of a can (but I was drinking it out of a glass, so shouldn't really have got that). One of the reviewers on this site (tbohn described another daisan as tasting "like someone dropped a coin in it", and I think that perfectly describes this one too.
It's dry and a little rough on the teeth after a while.
Overall about as good as could be expected for a 70% off sugar and 50% off purine daisan! Not very.
