GenMai means unpolished or unmilled rice in Japanese, and unfortunately I didn't check the ingredients on the label to see if this was made with unmilled rice when taking these notes.Location : Japan > Akita

It's likely that some brown rice was added to alter the flavour.
In the glass this is a golden straw colour, very fizzy with a small white head.
Quite hoppy on the nose.
The palate is light, fresh and hoppy with some slight bitterness on the finish.
A second big swig bring more bitterness on the aftertaste.
Quite dry too.
Actually the aftertaste began to taste almost chemically bitter after a while which was a shame.
Otherwise a nice, fresh, refreshing beer.
