This is a Belgium style of beer called a Kriek which is made by mixing lambic beer (another Belgium style of beer) with sour Morello cherries.
You end up with basically a Cherry Beer.

The Belle-Vue brewery were founded in 1913 in Belgium but like a lot of breweries these days are owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev. They have kept their headquartes in Belgium though.

The beer is a dark red with a slight brown colour to it.

Obviously lots of cherry on the nose, but it reminds me of a cherry flavoured medicine from my childhood, a cough medicine I think.

The cherry taste is fairly light, not too strong. Like a cherry-ade with a hint of Tizer. A bit sweet too.

I'm not a big fan of fruit beers so I didn't like this much, but I'm sure for those in the know and whose taste buds appreciate the fruitier beers this is a good Belgium beer.
Just not for me.

At the end of the day it was too much like cherry-ade (which I also don't like much).
